If you wear eyeglasses then you know how expensive they can be. It takes no time for your eyeglasses to add up to a large bill. In this economy people are looking for ways to cut the budget as much as possible. We are using coupons more then ever before. We shop at stores that offer the most savings and on the days that there are sales all in an attempt to save money. When it comes to buying eyeglasses the desire to save money leads many people online. There is an online company that offers eyeglasses at a very affordable price. The problem has come up that when you order your eyeglasses you have to have a PD measurement which is the measurement between the pupils so your eyeglasses will fit right and you can only get that number from your eye doctor. During an eye exam you do not get this number traditionally. You get the number once you have had your exam and you are being fitted for glasses. The problem is the eye doctors do not want to give this number so their patients can order their glasses online! Some eye doctors mentioned charging for this measurement. Others refuse to do it at all! They did put up good reasons why they were frustrated with the online glasses industry but the bottom line for the customer is if it were not for the big savings that you get with the online company affording the eyeglasses would not be possible at all for many families. This is a financial time that the doctors need to step up and understand what many families are going through and help solve this problem reasonably.
